Is anyone disturbed by the Planned Parenthood abortion statistics that show only 3% of pregnant women receive abortions from PP while 'Right to Life' claims that 32 out of 33 pregnant patients get abortions?

Realisticly, these manipulations of statitiscs are what influences people just as Nazi propaganda created an environment that resulted in 6 million Jewish murders. Both of these stats are true, and both are false. When PP states that "only" 3% of their clients receive abortions, they equate services, not patients. For example, they say a pregnancy test equals an abortion in their statistics, and since they provide 1.4 million of these tests, it's apparent how they come to their conclusions. The other side chooses to ignore these simple procedures since an abortion test can be easily purchased for $15 at any pharmacy. 'Right to Life' abortion statistics are based on the fact that of the actual number of pregnant women that go to PP, 97% receive abortions, which is true also. PP argues against this view because they say they actually don't know how many of their clients are pregnant. If they did, of course, this might show that of the actual tests that turn out as pregnant, almost all get an abortion. We'll never know, and that is why pregnancies discovered by these tests are not recorded.

We have a Pope! With these simple Latin words the Proto Deacon, French Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran last week, emerged on the balcony outside the Papal apartments and announced to a crowd of over 100,000 in St. Peter’s Square and billions more watching on television, that the Roman Catholic Church of 1.2 billion souls had a new leader and his name was Francis.

Pope Francis was Cardinal Arch Bishop of Buenos Aries Argentina Jorge Mario Bergoglio, a humble Jesuit who is the first Pontiff from the “new world”, the first Jesuit to be Pope, the first to take the name of St. Francis of Assisi, and the first Pope in over a thousand years not to come from Europe. 

By all accounts he is a man devoted to the poor who actually works with them and does not just talk about them, he is a traditionalist, a believer in the sanctity of life and traditional marriage. He appears to be an ascetic man who eschews the pomp and the bling that has become unfortunately associated with the magisterium. This makes him dangerous. It did not take long for the secular progressives to begin their attack.

The attack in reality however had begun prior to the conclave with the leftwing press bellowing about how the church had to change to become in effect more like the Democratic Party. Many of these commentators were self proclaimed Catholics.

Sequester Was Obama’s Idea; Make Him Own It!

President Obama is good at spending money and very adroit at blaming Republicans for the many failures of his presidency. Four years under his belt and another four to go and Obama continues the blame game with gusto. Now Obama is topping his own standard of hypocrisy and blaming the $1.2 trillion sequester on Republicans when the idea was Obama’s in 2011.

“And that’s why it’s so troubling that just 10 days from now, Congress might allow a series of automatic, severe budget cuts to take place that will do the exact opposite,” declared his Royal Highness Obama.
Let’s get this straight, it’s Congress’ fault sequestration, also known as the automatic spending cuts, is about to happen even though it was Obama’s idea? Apparently, Obama also never said in November 2011: “I will veto any effort to get rid of those automatic spending cuts, domestic and defense spending. There will be no easy off ramps on this one.”

The US has been lying to all of us for decades

We’re not talking about some kooky conspiracy theory… we’re talking about INFLATION.
 
By understating inflation, the Federal Government and Federal Reserve have done two things:
 
1.Exaggerated our economic growth.
2.Lied about the true cost of living in the US.
 
Regarding #1, every time the US prints GDP growth numbers, it adjusts this data for inflation. The reason for this is that if the economy grows at 10%, but prices also rise at 10%, then there really hasn’t been any actual growth.
 
To deal with this, the US adjusts its GDP measures for inflation to make it appear as f they’re objective. The only problem is that the US adjusts GDP using a phony inflation number that is much lower than reality.
 
A great example is last quarter when we were told that the GDP grew at an annual rate of 0.1%. The reality is that if you used realistic inflationary measures, the US economy SHRANK at a rate of over -1% last quarter. Yes, negative 1%. The worst GDP print since 2009.

The Republicans are in full cannibal mode. They are eating their young. Reagan’s 11th commandment is ignored. It is easier to fight those closest to you than to fight your real enemy. It is simpler to demand perfection than to accept a principled compromise. When you have a habit of only talking to those who agree with you, you delude yourself into believing it is because nobody else is important enough.

Some think this is better than their usual state of existence which is the “old guard vs. the tea party” or “neo-cons vs. the religious right” or simply “Republican vs. Conservatives”. I live in a state and city which is and has been for far too long a one party environment. People in New York have not been wooed by a Republican or a Conservative running for President for so long that “Nixon’s the One!” signs are still current. The GOP has written off the state for so long that candidates only come here to raise big money from rich people and then leave quickly in the dead of night before a desperate conservative can beg them for a poster or a lawn sign. In fact the last time they had lawns signs they were reserved for Manhattan which tells you every thing you need to know about how serious they are about winning.

PEOPLE LIKE ME...

Exit polls for the 2012 Presidential Election contained five questions for voters covering the economy, health care, employment and the like . Mitt Romney was viewed favorably for the first four but lost the fifth 82% to 18%. That question was “who cares most about people like me”?

I believe that the 2012 election was won by Barack Obama and lost by Mitt Romney, the GOP and Conservatives on that issue alone.

American Enterprise Institute President Arthur C. Brooks recently wrote an op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal entitled “Republicans and their faulty moral arithmetic”. In this article Mr. Brooks cited further polling prior to the election that indicated only “ 33% of Americans said that Mitt Romney ‘cares about people like me’. Only 38% said he cared about the poor.“

Mr. Brooks went on to cite research from NYU sociologist Jonathan Haidt that declared that“care for the vulnerable is a universal moral concern” and “that citizens across the political spectrum place a great importance on taking care of those in need and avoiding harm to the weak”.

Senator Rand Paul: “Don’t Drone on Me”

Imagine sitting at your local Starbucks restaurant or enjoying drinks at your favorite bar with friends and a drone blows half the place up because President Obama thinks he has the authority to conduct drone military strikes here at home on his own people. Senator Paul Rand Paul tried to put the brakes on President Obama’s “license to kill” obsession by filibustering John Brennan’s CIA nomination March 6, 2013.

That’s right Senator Paul exercised his right as a member of Congress, enshrined in the United States Constitution, to draw attention to a very serious matter. When the Senate was set to vote on John Brennan’s nomination for head of the CIA, Paul led a 13-hour filibuster against the nomination demanding Obama put in writing he would never use drones kill Americans not involved in combat.

Why did Paul take such a bold stand? Attorney General Eric Holder wrote a letter indicating the president has the power to conduct drone strikes on American soil but “has no intention of doing so.” “No intention” isn’t the same as “won’t ever” and Paul rode herd on this administration’s frightening interpretation of its executive war powers.

“You should be charged, you should be imprisoned if they can make the charges stick. But they shouldn’t just drop a Hellfire missile on your café experience,” declared Paul on the Senate floor.

THE BUDGET FIRE NEXT TIME

We have survived the Fiscal Cliff crisis, the Debt Limit debacle and now the “Sequester that ate the nation” and the nation is exhausted. This President apparently lives to inflict fear, anger, terror and anxiety on the old, the sick, the disabled, the poor and his favorite target the ever handy “middle class”.

On March 27 we will be facing the next attempt to grow government, tax us to perdition, destroy the GOP, the constitution, capitalism, and our defense and national security capabilities. It is called the renewal of the Continuing Budget Resolution which we have in lieu of a budget which the Senate under Harry Reid has refused for 5 years to pass although they are required by law to do so.

I predict that Barack Obama will have learned nothing from the Sequester and the propaganda in lieu of leadership will begin anew. He will once again fear monger and use character assassination while he flies around the country in perpetual campaign mode to scare the hell out of Americans who are sick and tired of an economy that has been deliberately sabotaged by this President.

AND THE OSCAR GOES TO...

The most puzzling thing about the presidency of Barack Obama has been how unpopular most of his policies are and how popular he is. At end of the Academy Awards Jack Nicolson trotted out Michelle Obama to make a speech and announce the winner for best picture and then suddenly everything came into focus. The Obamas have become full fledged celebrities in the classic Hollywood tradition. Hollywood was simply having one of their own participate in the industries most important evening and they were rubbing our noses in it.

The Obamas have transcended the pedestrian world of politics and have become part of mythmaking dreamscape of Hollywood where image is everything and substance is irrelevant. Obama isn’t really President in the here and now that real people have to live in. Instead he plays being the President on TV in a reality show that frees him from any blame or responsibility for the crises he sets into motion and the harm they do in the world far away from the fantasy world in southern California.
When we ask ourselves the next time why he is once again manufacturing another crisis, the answer will be that crisis is good drama and drama is interesting and generates great ratings. In short we have entered a kind of Rod Serling like “Twilight Zone” where fiction has become fact and the fact is that Obama is always cast as the hero.

EVERYBODY KNOWS

ON TUESDAY OF THIS WEEK THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IN FULL FEAR MONGERING MODE WENT ON ALL THE NETWORKS TO WARN THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAT THE SKY ONCE AGAIN WAS GOING TO FALL. THIS TIME THE CRISIS INVOLVED THE JOBS AND SERVICES HE CLAIMED THAT WOULD BE LOST IF THE SEQUESTRATION CUTS WENT INTO EFFECT ON MARCH 1ST 2013. ONCE AGAIN HE NEGLECTED TO REMIND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAT HE WAS THE AUTHOR AND PRIME PROMOTER OF THIS INSANE WAY OF OPERATING A GOVERNMENT. INSTEAD HE ONCE AGAIN BLAMED THE CONGRESS AND THE REPUBLICANS IN PARTICULAR.

BEHIND HIM LINED UP LIKE ROBOTS WAS THE “VICTIM GROUP” DE JOUR WHO WOULD BE DEVASTATED IF THESE CUTS WENT THROUGH. IN THIS INSTANCE THEY WERE "FIRST RESPONDERS" IN FULL DRESS UNIFORM. THE PRESENCE OF BACK DROP GROUPS LIKE THIS BY NOW SHOULD BE AN INDICATOR THAT WHAT HE WAS ABOUT TO TELL US WAS PURE POLITICS AND NOT RELATED TO REALITY.

PREDICTABLY HE PROPHESIZED THAT “air-traffic controllers and air port security will see cutbacks"…( I WONDER …DOES THIS MEAN THAT 4 YEAR OLD DISABLED LITTLE GIRLS IN WHEELCHAIRS WILL NOW NOT BE PATTED DOWN OR THAT ONLY THEY WILL BE PATTED DOWN ?)…HE TOLD US “thousands of teachers and educators will be laid off"( DOES THIS MEAN THAT DISTRIBUTION OF BTRTH CONTROL PILLS AND THE MORNING AFTER PILL ALONG WITH GRAPHIC SEX EDUCATION FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL KIDS WILL BE SUSPENDED OR DOES IT MEAN THAT ONLY THAT WILL BE TAUGHT?)…
