"If at age 20 you are a conservative then you have no heart. If at age 30 you are a liberal then you have no brains."
Sir Winston Churchill
ADVOCATE FOR TERM LIMITS

Obama obviously knows very little about economics, specifically that "Society stagnates when independent productive achievers begin to be socially demonized and even punished for their accomplishments." This dilemma fogs Obama's reality. To him, accepting this truth is a "false choice", his answer to things he doesn't understand. And by the way... where is John Galt?

More Stupid Socialist Perfidy

Yes again, more stupid socialist perfidy as California's politicians pass a law to have affiliates of online retailers like Amazon, Overstock, and others, collect California sales taxes on their sales and send them to the state. The obvious result of this, which of course socialists will never understand, is that Amazon and the others have eliminated their affiliate programs in California. So, the again-obvious result is that the income the affiliates would normally pay state income taxes on, will be gone, and there will be no sales tax collected at all. As most people understand, except the California socialists, there will be less revenue collected for the state and there will be a flight of hundreds, if not thousands, of business' to the business-friendly states like Arizona, Texas and Florida. Nationally, the current socialist government wants to have a national sales tax on these internet sales and then pass the collected revenues on to California as a way to make everyone pay. If they get their way, online sales will be completed in Canada or Mexico or the Bahamas. Internet sales taxes are already paid by these retailers, but only if they have a physical presence in the state, like a factory or warehouse. The freedom of the internet is being attacked by these treacherous, greedy politicians.

Lamestream Media Falls on Their Collective Asses

NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams seemed to take smug delight Friday night in pointing out how Sarah Palin’s off-the-cuff recounting of Paul Revere’s ride was at odds with the correct history, smirking that Palin’s version “already has tongues wagging.”
This was stupid, and I don't mean Palin. The lamestream media used Longfellow's 1860 well-known poem about Paul Revere's ride as the basis for their ludicrous, "factual" attack. Anyone who really knows history knows she was exactly correct. Paul Revere himself, wrote about the event and Palin described it exactly. Apparently, after noting that Obama said he had visited all 57 states, Palin decided to throw out stickers for the media to roast themselves on. It should be noted that NBC, CNN and USAToday were the only ones taking the bait. ABC, CBS, and Fox appropriately ignored Palin's new tactic. LOL

Newt and media hypocricy

Newt Gingrich is to announce his candidacy for presidency today and the media hypocrisy will be flying. First let me say: Yes, he has baggage and yes, his behavior while speaker was disappointing; and no, I don't know if I will support him. But once he announces, the gloves will be off. The first attack: his infidelities and three marriages. This behavior will be analyzed and scrutinized as if it were Khalid Sheikh Mohammed trying to board an airplane. Yet Newt has been candid about his personal failings and by all accounts has finally established a stable relationship the third time around -- it has lasted 16 years and 11 years of marriage. Yet while his dalliances involved consenting adults and is long in the past, the media will be much harsher on him than President Clinton, who by many accounts, was a sexual predator who did not give up his ways even upon entering the White House -- or since. A second attack; his wife Callista. Already, left wing satirical web sites are calling her a Stepford Wife. Yet she is a smart, independent, articulate woman -- and also a talented musician. This is just the standard liberal narrative for all conservative women. The third attack: his post-congress work, especially with Citizen United. Forget his prolific and at times brilliant writing, his sharp commentary and his uncanny understanding of policy. President Obama's ties to Acorn, Rev. Wright and terrorist Bill Ayers be damned. The media will be indignant about Newt's conservative initiatives and will insist on a proper "outing" of Newt -- despite the fact we know much more about Newt than we do about the current president even now. When I moved to Georgia in 1993, soon to be Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich represented my district (interestingly my home town district produced current Speaker John Boehner). No political scientist (right or left) thought it possible for Republicans to gain control of the House after 40 years -- it was mathematically impossible. But Newt's brilliant Contract for America did it. He believes, unlike the current administration, in American exceptionalism. He deserves serious consideration. There are legitimate concerns about Newt -- too much of a policy wonk to be a leader and his intestinal fortitude to name a couple. No doubt, he botched his speakership a bit. But focus should be on examining legitimate issues -- not the hypocritical muckraking we are about to see from the media. Here is some background by someone who knows him well: http://www.boortz.com/weblogs/nealz-nuze/2011/may/11/newt-gingrich/

Should Oil Companies Pay More Taxes

I think every reasonable person wants big business to pay taxes (most pay no tax on profits) but we also have to be prepared for the consequences (it's happened before). The fly in the ointment is the depletion allowance tax credit. A producer only has a finite amount of oil in their reserve and in order to pump it out when the incentive is low, the gov't. gives them a tax credit for each barrel that is removed or "depleted" from the oil bed. The price of oil/gas will skyrocket as American producers slow down or stop producing in order to keep their same profit (less oil means higher gas prices as they try to maintain that profit). Additionally, the position of our government is not to find more of our own oil.; more of our dollars will end up in Saudia Arabia, Mexico, Venezuela and Brazil instead of here. Remember, we can't force American producers to pump more oil for less money. So, again we see the "buzz-word generation" urging action on something they know nothing about. What will you do if, like many experts think, the price of gas goes to $6/gal. this summer? It's estimated that living in the suburbs and driving to work and back will cost $60-$80 per week, eliminating everything except food, gas and taxes for most low and middle earners. Remember, this has happened before, and the results can readily be projected. The more government interferes with business, the more it costs each of us. Additionally, these companies pay several other taxes, like the Job and Family Services tax that is based on their employee's salaries; they pay half of the social security and medicare taxes... and there are other, larger state and local taxes. Tax collections will decrease when these companies make less profit and employ fewer people causing us to fill the gap with our own higher taxes or fewer benefits. This "simple" tax problem is so complicated that adding more parameters to the equation will certainly have many undiscovered consequenses. The philosophy of Ayn Rand is starting to play out for everyone to see, and very few to understand, I'm afraid. We're tiny, minuscule gogs in this wheel. Where is John Galt?

"I'm 63 and I'm Tired"... Robert A. Hall

Robert A. Hall is one of the few Republicans to win election to the Massachusetts Senate from a heavily democrat district. He served 5 terms. His article should be required reading for every man, woman and child in the United States of America.

"I'm 63 . Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs but job-hunting every day, I've worked hard since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.
I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.
I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.
I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of China , the crime and violence of Mexico , the tolerance for Christian people of Iran , and the freedom of speech of Venezuela.I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.
I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U . S . Senators from Illinois.
I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.
I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever.. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.
I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America , while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.
I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.
I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don't think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.
I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military. Those are the citizens we need.
I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves.. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.
I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Illinois, where the "Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet.
I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.
Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.
I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.
Yes, I'm damn tired . But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter."
Robert A. Hall is a Marine Vietnam veteran who served five terms in the Massachusetts State Senate.

THE AUDACITY OF ARROGANCE

Nancy Pelosi is to politics what ebola is to health. She has strutted about the national stage since 2006 with her stupidity borne out of a fecal ideology on full display; the proof of this is that she is too stupid to be ashamed. She has been the cover girl for the nanny state fascists who believe that we are all too dumb to live our lives without their direct involvement, thereby creating a "secular progressive sharia" under which all we are and everything we do or hope to do is subject to their permission. Almost singlehandedly she has become the annoying, chalk-on-the-blackboard voice of the left, as they appease our enemies, bankrupt the nation and demonize all and any who dare protest. She is the personification of the reason that we must completely do away with the professional political class in this country and make these latter day mandarins a vestige of the past and not the ghosts of things to come. Yesterday she called for the investigation of those who seek to stop the Park 51 Mosque at ground zero from being built. She did this after one of the top leaders of Hamas came out in full support of the project. That bit of alignment even caused the hectoring "I'm the only adult in town" Mayor to shut up...but not our Nancy! In the rabid precincts of the far left, Hamas are the good guys. So, as the chief spokesperson of the "I'm not with the great Satan" wing of the Democrat party, Nancy felt it was safe to weigh in. Why do I think she and her cohorts want to make Gaza the 51st state? Nancy Pelosi needs to go... along with Maxine, Charlie, Barbara, Barney, Maurice, Louise, Henry, Alan and the other barnacles that are causing the ship of state to run aground. Her declaration of yesterday was and is, chilling and scary. Do we need any further proof that Democrats don't know what democracy is anymore? These lunatics have spent their miserable lives talking to each other and not to us and we like schmucks have paid them to morph into a pseudo aristocracy. No wonder Michelle takes 10 vacations a summer...that's what royals do! But Nancy...dear Nancy...sweet San Fran Nan, the golden girl from the Golden Gate, has done her wrecking crew one better...she is now talking only to herself. All who read this and agree...let's do her and us a favor. Let's retire her! Nancy is just not the problem of the voters of Marin County any more ...she is Americas' problem. ERLANDSSON

They will Never have to Pay for Healthcare again....

WRAL TV of Durham, N.C. has a story today that exemplifies how Democrats win votes in a most un-American way. In the words of one North Carolina resident and Democrat voter, Democrats are "like Christmas" because with Democrats in office no one has to pay any of their bills.

WRAL had a news story on local reactions to the signing of Obamacare and the report featured video of resident DeCarlo Flythe of Durham, N. C. who was "overjoyed" that Obamacare is here.

Here was Mr. Flythe's reaction to Obamacare:
"It's gonna be like Christmas, you know your first Christmas when you want that Barbie doll, so it's gonna be just like Christmas. I mean it's gonna be great, you know worries, you know the bills, we can go ahead and pay our co-pay and be all right."

Still Flythe thinks he'll not ever have to pay for his healthcare again because of Obamacare. He imagines that a "co-pay" is all he'll ever have to pay and all the rest is free. Obama gave him a "Christmas present," don't you know?

And this, folks, is how Democrats convince people to vote for them. They pretend to offer everything for free and all you have to do is vote for them. This, of course, is the most thoroughly un-American attitude that has been introduced into our American polity by Democrats starting with FDR (our second most socialist president after Obama).

This votes-for-freebies attitude destroys the American character of rugged individualism, freedom, and self-reliance. Further more it is unsustainable. After all, nothing is really free and the burden of the freebies that Democrats give away end up on the heads of people with jobs, the middle class and the business community.

Once again, Democrats prove to be entirely anti-American and a danger to our nation
According to the report, Flythe has a job but doesn't think he has to pay for his healthcare and he imagines that Obamacare will give it to him for the cost of a co-pay. Co-pays are doctor visit fees in many insurance policies that are typically less then $100 a visit. But co-pays are not all there is to paying for healthcare because the premiums paid to the policies are what is used to cover other aspects of the service to the patient.

The Dumbing Down of Medicine

Doctors don't have to participate in the Obamacare bill.... they can go "private" as they do in Britain, and only accept patients out of the system. This is currently happening with the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, where the docs stopped accepting medicare altogether, leaving 3000 patients in the lurch, looking for other docs. A friend (pediatrician) in Virginia... says the hospitals will accept medicaid, but individual docs rarely will. No plastic surgeon will participate in this bill.... and so on. The smartest and brightest young people will stop going into medicine and instead go into public administration. Change you can Count on... the dumbing down of medicine.

We're getting Sick of Republicans always opposing Social Legislation, aren't we?

PBS's Jim Lehrer on Tuesday wrongly accused Republicans of always being against major social legislation in this country including the Civil Rights Act, Social Security, and Medicare.

JIM LEHRER, HOST: Senator, as you know -- much has been made of this -- that, through history, recent history in particular, Republicans have opposed things like Social Security, Medicare, even civil rights legislation, but then, once they lost, they took some deep breaths and moved on, and then finally ended up embracing many of these major changes in -- in laws and in the way we do business here.

Is that going to happen with health care reform?

SEN. JON KYL, (R-ARIZONA): Jim, could I argue a little with the premise of your question?

EHRER: All right. OK. Sure.

KYL: The civil rights legislation was pushed by Republicans, as you will recall. It was the Southern Democrats who filibustered it, who fought against it.

History of Conservatives and Liberals

For those that don't know about history ... Here is a condensed version:

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:
1. Liberals, and
2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed. Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. According to New York political analyst Larry Allison, this was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.

More Progressive Perfidy from the City Voted the "Craziest in the US"

The black democrat alliance in Ohio has pulled off another perfidious end-run with the assistance of democrat governor Ted Strickland. The scenario started when two black female politicians from Cincinnati decided to seek the same state senate seat. One was leaving her city council job because of term limits and the other, the former vice-mayor of Cincinnati, was also seeking the democrat held seat in the 33rd district. The black democrat caucus didn't want to have a costly primary challenge so they "persuaded" the council woman to look elsewhere for a job.
