RIP Larry Allison, Conservative Analyst and 9/11 Victim, New York City

So, who was Larry Allison? Larry was a conservative writer and talk show host who has contributed dozens of essays to our blog for the last eight years. He was a victim of 9/11 but he refused to let that define him. On that infamous day, Larry was flying back from Washington and missed the Pentagon attack by 15 minutes. The horrible World Trade Center disaster awaited him when he arrived back in NYC. As a member of Rudy Guiliani's administration, he volunteered to help as soon as access to the site was allowed. The dust, the body parts, the jet fuel and god knows what else in the air was absorbed into workers' skin and lungs. Thousands got sick, and Larry was one of the worst.

When he got sick, he was officially recognized as a 9/11 victim, so his medical treatment was always taken care of by the City. He also had a car and driver to ferry him around as he became increasingly immobile. His damaged lungs, the ensuing leukemia and all the medicine he had to take, caused him to gain too much weight, which slowed him down even more. His life saving treatment consisted of monthly chemotherapy and blood transfusions. This past summer I spent four days with him in the Bronx and his spirit never wavered. He would talk your ear off, and you loved listening to him. The treatment finally stopped working.

Larry was also an unabashed Catholic and supporter of  Israel and everything Jewish. His jewishness probably came from the three Jewish wives he married and divorced. (he obviously loved Jewish women.) One day we were talking and he said he was very tired of being alone. He said a friend had recommended an international web site for people like himself, so he put forth his information. It took a couple of months before he received any inquiries, and he got two. One was from a Russian tractor driver and the other was from a young grandmother in the Philippines. In the end he visited the beautiful lady from the Philippines and she became his loving wife and soulmate. He was never happier than when he was with her.

Besides being a voracious writer, Larry and his very good friend Frank Vernuccio hosted a conservative talk show on WXOX in the City. Although they mostly concentrated on New York issues, they also gave conservative voices to international politics.

And lastly Larry was a friend, my oldest friend since we were 5 years old. We grew up together along with our other friends back in Corning, NY. When James Dean's movie Rebel Without a Cause was having it's way with young teenagers, we bought identical jackets and started a street gang, the Rebels. Our biggest claim to fame was when we rolled a truck tire through the back door of a bar, and watched it roll all the way to the front door. We hid behind the big stone eagle at the Eagles Club to see what would happen. Sadly, nothing.

Larry has left behind twin brothers whom he was very proud of, two daughters, many cousins, nephews and nieces, too many close friends to count, and his wife Jocelyn. He will be sorely missed by all of us. He went too soon. He had so much more to do, to say and to write. God Bless his soul.

Good bye old friend. The tears will stop.

A TERRIBLE RESOLVE

Barack Obama went to Beijing and  the country received   a symbolic  t-shirt saying " Obama went to China and all we got was higher energy prices and more lost jobs while China gave up nothing"  The results of this farce  will fall most heavily of course, on the working class and middle class of the nation.

While the far left "Greens" and sycophant Obama press swoons over this mythical game changer, much of the real story  goes untold.

First, President Xi simply agreed verbally in a non binding format to do what China was already planning to do by 2030 without this agreement.

Second, the U.S. would be made even more economically weak if we were to cut the emission rates for the nation that Obama promised Xi.  Already reports are circulating that he has a slew of Executive Orders ready to fulfill this pledge.

Third and the piece not discussed at all is that Xi and his new best friend, Putin, both know  that the politics of this phony agreement will add to the mass turmoil, Obama is planning domestically to stop the new majority in the Country and de facto nullify the 2014 mid-term elections.  While the U.S. rips itself apart thanks to a hard left partisan press, China will continue to rearm in its bid to become the leading economic and military power in both Asia and the world.  Russia likewise will have free and easy sailing to continue to threaten  Eastern Europe, Western Europe and Central Asia.

Fourth, the cabal of friends and enemies who use this nation for their own selfish reasons, do not want to see the U.S. become either energy independent or a reliable energy exporter because it will lower the world wide price and dramatically reduce the energy strangle  hold that  dangerous countries have on the rest of us.  Obama will be complicit in this by refusing to sign the XL Keystone pipeline deal because that now would be in contradiction  to his bogus deal with Xi.

So this is just one more political tactic in helping to keep this President on course to weaken this country in the eyes of both friends and foes.

DAMN LIES

When the public finally decides that the Emperor has no clothes, it becomes impossible to find a tailor to fix the problem.  In a somewhat  similar vein, Casey Stengel the first manager of the hapless New York Mets once asked plaintively of the team "Can't anyone here play this game?"

Today America is full of both Casey Stengel's and aroused,angry skeptics pointing out the President is incompetent and naked to boot. His incompetence however is merely a cover for his lying. Our politics have always been full of liars coupled to a partisan  press who reports on them in ways that enable their lying.  We have always had a free press but it has not always been an honest press. 

Today with the technical capacity to deliver massive information  to the average person there is ironically a growing tuning out and turning off on the part of far too many citizens.  Past generations had what would be arrogantly determined today as a sub-standard or limited education emanating out of one room school houses or the early public schools sans any teachers union.  These however produced a well informed and comparatively sophisticated educated class that could  follow and understand complex legal, political and economic arguments  on a level  and in numbers you would not find today.  Now the information overload and ideological social justice propaganda disguised as factual knowledge has in fact made far too many people ignorant. 

The cultural hype that echoes  and sustains this travesty in subtle and insidious ways have also given the pathological liars of politics an open field with few defensive tacklers.  Lincoln once said "You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time!".  But today there is a sinking and forlorn feeling that we are close to if not arrived at an "all of the people...all of the time " moment in our public affairs.

THE EBOLA CIRCUS

The American public is anxious over the spread of Ebola (EVD) within the U.S. because our officials are creating that anxiety.

As Peggy Noonan wrote in last Saturday's Wall Street Journal, "Who do they think we are?"  Are we children, idiots, simpletons, schmucks?

For example authorities should have to once and for all either logically and cogently explain how containing and treating EVD in Africa but allowing people to travel from the Hot Zone to other parts of the world makes any common sense or just shut up!

Calming public nervousness and effectively treating and containing the virus actually require doing and communicating the same things.  If new Ebola Czar Ron Klain has the power, the intelligence and the will to accomplish this, then he will be the man of the hour.  If he does not then he will be what so many now think him to be, just a political hack  with phony authority designed  to protect  the Presidents political ass by any means necessary.

So that's the first  issue to address i.e. how an adult  with an  important title who doesn't even report directly to the President (in order to give Obama plausible deniability) will be able to cut through the political White House crap and become the Patton of this war and then have the balls to seize the necessary legal powers and not to be blocked or undermined   by the incompetent, malicious and vicious hacks that dominate the beltway. 

The second issue which must be addressed swiftly and comprehensively is  to stop the influx of passengers from the three hardest hit West African countries by either/and visa denial, a 21 to 42 day quarantine  in the country of departure  before being allowed to travel here if they are virus or symptom free.  African countries are shutting their borders and best practices of diagnosis, containment and treatment can be learned from Nigeria, the Congo, Senegal and Cameroon for starters.  Isn't interesting however how the homicidal PC left aren't calling these countries racist for closing their borders and cutting off travel?

THE WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN

When Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington at Yorktown, the Royal Fife and Drum played a tune called "The World Turned Upside Down".

The greatest military machine of the 18th century had been defeated by a colonial rag tag fighting force which had been turned into an inspired and effective army.  The world in truth had been flipped over!

Today as the planet and in particular the United States descends into paralytic despondency, "We the People" are taking the brunt of incompetence beyond imagination born out of arrogance or outright malice.

Whether it is the incomprehensible policies on treating and containing Ebola, fighting Islamic terror in general, degrading and destroying ISIS in particular, deliberate policies and actions to keep the economy stagnant and make good paying jobs disappear or the unilateral disarmament of our military, the world  we have known and trusted is disintegrating before our eyes.

Our popular and political cultures have become our mortal enemies, celebrating every possible appetite that will spiritually, psychologically or physically devour us as individuals and as a people.  When the radical progressive left makes moral issues political issues, it is an attempt through fraudulent "legal" means to silence their opponents.  It becomes a thinly disguised attempt to extinguish religion,  religious believers and patriots by making them 2nd class citizens or worse...bigots  or criminals.  This has become a major front in the war against "We the People".

Our political leadership assaults us on multiple battlefields...

religion by atheists with the support of progressive courts...patriotism and love of country  mocked and derided as jingoism...dependency  promoted and instantly gratified.  Our educational system wallows in anti-American bile and PC propaganda making our children both ignorant and seditious. 

A MODERN TALE OF TWO CITIES

Washington D. C. and New York City are capitals. One of the nation and the other of the world. What happens in either has enormous impact on people far removed from those who actually live there. With their access to political, economic and cultural power, they set things in motion for everyone else and often what they set in motion is not good.

In both D.C. and NYC the inmates are running the asylum. Standards, laws, rules and regulations are now subject to the whim of those in charge. In both cities the governments are run by zealots who dislike law and order, capitalism, religion with the exception of Islam, conservatives, educational choice, tax cuts, non union workers, Israel, the military, cops, free market health care, energy provided through coal, gas, nuclear and oil, counter terrorism and the Constitution for starters.

In Washington, President Obama has crippled the economic, military and political power of the United States. He has done everything possible to create a socialist nation that is not the freest or the strongest nation on the globe. He has undermined the rule of law and the Constitution and used the agencies of government to attack and punish his enemies. His Health Care, tax, budget and energy policies have made most Americans poorer save the wealthiest 1% whom he rails against and then solicits money from.

His administration is inept, amateurish,incompetent, ideologically driven, prone to thuggery, illegal activities, race baiting, using dual standards for friends and enemies and unable or unwilling to solve the real problems of real people.

His handling of the IRS , Benghazi, Ebola, ISIS, ObamaCare, the Ukraine, Russia, China, Iran, immigration, energy and Syria and Iraq are just a few examples of a man who through his own ineptitude or willful design has now built a scaffold to hang himself on as the country burns. To be fair he did not do this alone he had the help of a Democratic Party comprised of people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid who has castrated the Senate and not allowed even bi-partisan bills to see the light of day. Congress does not function because Obama, Pelosi, and Reid don't want it to. If it did they would not be able to blame the Republicans any more.

REBELS WITHOUT A CLUE

High School students in Jefferson County Colorado are up in arms over an Advanced Placement History Curriculum that wants to promote patriotism, the benefits of free enterprise and the cessation of promoting civil disorder and instead stressing civic responsibility. For many in the media this has been deemed "controversial" and Media Matters for America, a progressive, left wing Soros funded entity which blames Fox News for this controversy, has moved in to ratchet up the discontent over efforts to stimulate love of country. 

These students are pawns yet again in the multi generational crusade to portray the U. S. as a bad country and the source of evil both domestically and in foreign affairs. 

Advocates for the new curriculum say historic figures such as Franklin, Jefferson, Martin Luther King and Madison are currently minimized while the wars against the Indians, the Black Panther Party, slavery (without any mention of the Gettysburg Address) and the dropping of the A bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki are prominent. In fact the question is asked with regard to the latter "Does this makes you question the values of America!" 

Are these people kidding? Do they have any historical perspective or knowledge whatsoever as to what the country had gone through during WW II or the bloody sacrifices to free black Americans in bondage of the American Civil War? It is difficult to impossible to believe they  want balance or objectivity. 

COMFORTABLE IN THEIR OWN IGNORANCE

Recently Bill Maher of all people, challenged Charlie Roses's understanding of Islam which charitably put was sort of like Baptists and Muslims were cut from the same theological cloth.  Maher demolished Rose and exposed an all too common intellectual laziness that both liberals and progressives demonstrate on a consistent basis.  Simply put they are guilty of either willful or woeful ignorance.

Willful ignorance is a state of mind where ideology is substituted for reality and thus bad things happen.  Woeful ignorance is when people are badly educated (often by ideologues) and when they become active in the real world...bad things happen.  In either event those suffering from either are seemingly comfortable in their own ignorance. 

Academia today is an intellectual cesspool masquerading as a font of knowledge which indulges adolescent utopian fantasies divorced from the human condition.  Since the academic elite have an anti-America bent, its message is that the world is a mess because of rich, white, male, straight, religious Americans who stole everything they have from the "have nots".   In other words behind every "bank account" there is now a great crime! This has become the monolithic launch pad for "being educated and credentialed" for far too many of the leaders of tomorrow who cannot distinguish propaganda for fact.

Generations of  impressionable young people beginning in the sixties, have created a vivid false reality which is buttressed daily by celebrities and the media and which causes them not to recognize evil when it stares them in the face.  In this false universe they proceed to elect incompetent poseurs who parrot feel good slogans but who are incapable of solving problems.

All too often their causes degenerate into pseudo-religions because they cannot be defended in either the arenas  of either faith or reason.  Climate change and global warming come to mind.  Both have computer models that omit vital data and all too often are gamed to provide conclusions that fit a pre-established narrative and an improvable therm which in reality is not science  but  dogma.

WAR AS A MEANS OF PEACE

The new war began with bombing on  Monday evening at 9:26 PM EST.   Twenty sites around Raqqa, the northern Syrian  which serves as the capital for the Islamic State, were hit by air strikes from the U.S., Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates assisted by Qater.

These strikes included the use of B-1 Bombers, F-16 and F-18 fighter jets, F-22 stealth Raptors, Predator Drones and Tomahawk Missiles fired from off shore aircraft carriers such as the USS Arleigh Burke.

The U.S. alone attacked positions in Eastern Syria held by the al-Qaeda affiliated Khorasan Front from Central Asia who were using these sites as staging areas for terrorist attacks on commercial passenger jets and the American homeland.

And so the war began and the question remains what is next?

First... almost every military person either serving or retired who has commented on the President's strategy has stated that ground troops are necessary to achieve the degradation and destruction of ISIS.  Therefore how fast will we get to this stage and whose boots will be on the ground?   

Second...where are the other Muslim and Arab nations in this fight?  The President and Secretary of State Kerry have done "yeoman's work" in getting Sunnis to fight other Sunnis but some big regional actors are missing.

Where is Egypt and where is Turkey which after all is a member of NATO?  Turkey has been non-committal and reluctant to engage ISIS which it has assisted in the past.  Turkey also has the largest standing army in the area but has said that its hesitancy was due to forty Turkish nationals including the Turkish Consul General being held captive in Mosul.  They have now been released and the elusive and slippery Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, an ally of the Muslim Brotherhood, continues to dodge. 

THE WEEK OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY 09/08-09/15 20014

Barack Obama ploughs ahead, oblivious to reality and common sense.  He politicizes the Ebola plague and sends 3000 "boots on the ground" to West Africa which is far more than he is sending to Iraq and Syria.  A new crisis every week continues apace! 

The Democratic party has become the progressive/ social justice/ socialist party comprised of victim groups towards which they claim, Republicans, Conservatives and the "Tea Party" are constantly at war with.  The politically correct/ multicultural screed they practice separates Americans from one another by race, gender, age, income, language, religion or the lack there of, sexual preference, ethnicity and disability and is their perpetual campaign platform.  Then they lie and make things up.  Democrats are not merely the pied pipers of dissolution but are really the main problem as they march in lockstep and tear the country asunder.

Obama and his underlings display an unbelievable lack of cohesion as he , his Secretaries of State and Defense, National Security Advisor, Press Secretary, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and other Generals present dramatically different versions of what the mission is against ISIS.

The coalitions he spoke of as if they were a "fait accompli" are simply not!  Instead he pleads with a reluctant  if not duplicitous, undefined group who will wait and see how committed this President is to "degrading and  destroying" the most evil entity since the Nazi Party.

ROTHERHAM

From 1997 through 2013 and beyond, over 1,400 young. white, working class girls were systematically and sexually preyed upon by gangs of older men in the northern English town of Rotherham.  The girls involved were often troubled, living in group or foster homes, often living chaotic and dysfunctional lives which made them easy marks for their predators.

Despite numerous individual reports and three official reports in 2002, 2003 and 2006, nothing significant was done by local elected and appointed officials or the local Police.  This was mainly due to the fact that the gangs of men responsible were Muslims of Pakistani, Bangladeshi or Afghani origin.  Local officials,the majority of whom are from the Labour Party, repeatedly tried to avoid either racial confrontations or being labled racist or anti-Muslim.

In 2013 The Times of London did a series of investigatory articles about Rotherham which exposed the scandal.  This prompted the Rotherham Council to commission an independent report by Professor Alexis Jay who was formerly the Chief Inspector of Social Work in Scotland.  That report which was issued in August of this year has exploded like a bomb and has exposed the "Politically Correct" and "Multicultural" bias that allowed serial crimes of a horrific nature to be inflicted on young girls.

AMERICAN CREEPSHOW

The "Obama Zombies" as author Jason Matera labeled them in his book of the same name, are at it again.  CBS has reported that Gov. Jerry Brown has signed Assembly Bill 1912 which directs California educators to include " the significance  of the United States electing its first African-American President" in its History and Social Science curricula.   Obama's past vocation as a "community organizer" is also to be highlighted.

Well, every curriculum needs a reading list and here are mine:  "Culture of Corruption" by Michelle Malkin; "The Amateur" by Edward Klein; "Faithless Execution" by Andrew McCarthy; "Pushback" by Rabbi Aryeh Spero; "The Roots of Obama's Rage" and "Obama's America" by Dinesh D'Souza; "Obama's Enforcer" by John Fund and Hans Von Spakowsky; "InJustice" by J. Christian Adams; "The Devil Inside the Beltway" by Michael J. Daugherty; "Liberty and Tyranny" and "Ameritopia" by Mark Levin; "After America" by Mark Steyn; "The Great Destroyer" by David Limbaugh and "Spreading the Wealth" by Stanley Kurtz.

These are but a small sample  of "Obamography", mostly critical, written with over two more years left to go in his second term.

He began his first term with young grade school  children singing North Korean type hymns to him under the guidance, of course, of union teachers.  So in six years, the "cultists" have simply taken steps to insure that grades K-12 are worshiping the worst and creepiest President in American history. 

After he leaves office (and there are those who believe that he will not leave without a fight) his successors will have the "Devil's own time"  to fix and repair all the terrible things he has done.  It remains to be seen if the Constitution and our system of government have been irreparably harmed by his acts.

The TPMS reaction to ISIS

If your first reaction to the beheading of photo journalist James Foley was to rush to the defense of Muslims or Islam in general, I strongly suspect you need immediate psychiatric help because you are suffering from "Terminal Progressive Multicultural Schizophrenia".  TPMS is a disease of the left whose victims deny reality even when reality has a knife to their throat. 

TPMS causes people to believe in fantasy world views and never allow facts or knowledge held by people with first hand experience to affect their opinions. 

ISIS aka ISIL aka The Islamic State aka Da'esh  is a demonic monstrosity straight out of the gates of Hell.  Those moral relativists with TPMS who don't believe in evil are about to be shocked because evil is coming after them in ways that their worst nightmares  couldn't conjure up.

For those TPMS sufferers who want to ignore this wanton act of savage butchery or ISIS itself so that they can comfortably go back to their I-Pads or Droid phones and pretend that the real world our leaders have created doesn't exist...this is your wake up call!

These are not people we are dealing with.  They have abandoned their humanity.  The cannot be reasoned with.  They will not negotiate as normal political entities do.  They must be wiped out like vermin or rabid dogs.  They must be hunted down and put down.  Rights and laws are for humans.  ISIS is comprised of demons.  ISIS  is political Islam in its purest form and as such cannot and should not be contained because it is  political "Ebola" that lives to spill as much blood as it can in the name of Allah.  It must instead be eradicated.

Who is Behind ISIS

I  have no idea where the Islamic State/ISIS/ISIL or whatever name it uses  came from, and I'm just as baffled by the roots of its violent  ideology. While I never pretend to speak for the diverse community of  Muslims living in Britain today, I reckon my views on this will be  echoed by the majority who have watched with growing concern the  unprecedented rise of this group.

However, just as unprecedented is the childish invective being spewed  out by Islamophobes, racists and so-called terrorism experts encouraged  by some sections of the British media. They have not helped at all.

While I've blocked most of the jack-booted trolls who patrol  Twitterland demanding that anyone who is or even looks like a Muslim  should launch an immediate protest march against ISIS, I'm amazed that  similar rhetoric is being pushed by elements of the media.

There are many reasons why I've not spoken out against ISIS. For a  start, I'm not sure who it is, where it came from or how it is funded.  I've not seen such a militarily- and strategically-savvy fighting force  emerge in the Middle East before, other than the highly disciplined and  much feared Hezbollah. I, like many others, want to know a little bit  more about ISIS before making public comments.

Secondly, why should I organise a march against ISIS? I am not  responsible for its actions, just as my Jewish friends are not  responsible – and nor should they be - for the actions of that other  group of violent psychos in the Middle East, the Israeli military. While  ISIS enforcers wield head- and limb-chopping knives, Israel drops bombs  called Daisy Cutters which also decapitate and maim anyone caught in  the fallout.

Thirdly, my silence over ISIS does not mean that I support the group  even if some fools take my silence as a sign that I do. Only when I ask  some male tweeters to apologise on behalf of rapists, on the grounds  that every rapist is a man so they must all be somehow culpable, does  the penny drop; occasionally I'll get a muffled apology.

SOCIAL JUSTICE AND THE SOCIAL CONTRACT

Social Justice has come to mean permission to resort to mob rule, wanton destruction of private and public property,looting, Molotov cocktails, disrespect for the Police and at times physical attacks on and the shooting of others.  The war for Social Justice is a mask covering a war on the Social Contract. The dirty little secret is that this has been going on for a very long time.

"No Justice, No Peace"today means that those chanting this don't want justice via the rule of law to prevail.  It has come to mean the demand for  instantaneous preconceived punishment to be applied and the facts and the truth as determined by law enforcement, Judges and juries be ignored.

We are seeing all of this now in Ferguson Missouri, where the Governor has announced a state of emergency, called in the National Guard and established a curfew which has failed to stop the looting.  To a much lesser extent it also exists in Staten Island, New York.  In each instance two black males died after encounters with a white cop.  Both of the deceased were allegedly breaking the law, albeit in minor ways.

That these two ended up dead is a tragedy.  That both situations were seized upon by racial arsonists like Al Sharpton and criminals determined to exploit the racial anger and chaos are also tragedies.  That Barack Obama felt once again the need to interject himself in Ferguson by equating police actions with criminal activity is a third and unnecessary tragedy.

THE PEOPLE ON THE MOUNTAIN

The Yezidis are an ancient Kurdish/Arab people with a religion that combines elements of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Zoroastrianism and ancient pre monotheistic  devotion to the sun, the moon, water, fire, earth and air.  There were approximately 70,000 Yezidis in  Iraq, mostly in Nineveh Province near Mosul in the town of Sinjar until they were forced to flee from the violence of the Islamic State or ISIS.

Now 40,000 to 50,000 of them have fled to Mount Sinjar, a holy place to them since they believe that this is where Noah's Ark came to rest after the great flood.  The mountain has always been their home in Iraq with the remaining 180,000 Yezidis in the world living in Syria, Turkey, Iran, Armenia and Georgia.

So the question remains as to why the ISIS wants so desperately to commit genocide on a peaceful people with no homeland , who bother no one and who have lived peacefully amongst both Christians  and Muslims for centuries. 

The simple answer is that the Caliphate that Abu Bakr al-Bagdadi is creating in the 21st century belongs in the 7th century.  The IS will tolerate  no one who does not subscribe to their fundamental and violent version of Islam for very long even if they pay the Jizya tax and assume the mantle of second class Dhimmitude.  They also practice "Takfir" which is determining that those thought formerly to be pious Muslims are in fact not  because they do not believe in the Caliph's version of Islam.  This then make them Kaffirs and subject to death as apostates.

The more complicated answer is that the Yezidis have been looked upon by many Muslims and Christians alike to be devil worshipers and thus beyond the pale.  The central figure in their belief system is Malek Taus, the Peacock Angel who is the greatest of seven angels left by God after the creation to look after the world.  The alternate name of Malek Taus is "Shaitan" which is the Arabic name for Satan.

AGAIN...NEVER AGAIN

 

Never again has come again.  The Jew haters of the Islamic world, Europe and the "progressive" left of the Democratic Party are all marching in lock step in demanding that Israel stop defending itself and instead lay down and let the "final" final solution of the new Shoah take its inevitable course.

 

 Hamas, hiding behind women and children, with rockets and missiles stored in UN schools, clinics, crowded tenements and terror tunnels beneath hospitals, nursing homes and Mosques,  intends to sacrifice innocent people in order to win a public relations victory aided by an anti-Zionist/anti-Semitic world press.  Their weapons are photos and videos of dead and maimed children and wailing women, who in many circumstances  were not allowed by Hamas to seek shelter after the IDF warned occupants of targeted buildings that they were going to bomb them.   Despite all of this, Obama over and over signals his support for Hamas by the immoral use of moral equivalency  in condemning  the violence. 

 

And then of course there is the simple question of why Hamas who has been attacking Israel for nine years has never built real shelters for the residents of Gaza, whom they rule? 

 

Hamas has said for years that they will ultimately defeat the Jewish state because they love death and Israel loves life.  Thus in the primordial swamp that is the modern Middle East, this logic makes Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah, Iran, the Islamic State, al-Qaeda, Ansar el-Sharia, el-Shabaab and all the other savages there and across the globe in their minds, the inevitable winners.  This fanatical belief in victory through holy terror is augmented by the support of western social justice radicals whose moral relativism is so infected with disease that even cutting off the heads of innocent people is ok if it will lead to the destruction of the big and little "Satans". 

A NATION OF LAWS

The DC Circuit Court recently handed down a 2 to 1 decision in a case entitled Halbig v Burwell.  That decision sent shock waves through the Beltway because it ruled that anyone who receives health care through an exchange established  by the Federal Government and not by a state is not eligible for and should not receive a Federal subsidy in the form of a tax credit or other relief.  "Section 36B plainly makes subsidies available in the Exchanges established by states," wrote Judge Thomas Griffith, who was joined in the majority decision by Senior Circuit Judge Raymond Randolph.

The  ACA was purposely designed to make the states the portals whereby "ObamaCare" was delivered.  Confining the subsidies to qualified individuals who purchased their health insurance through a state created "Marketplace " was a deliberate effort to create incentives for the states to participate, as those who conceived and wrote the law intended.  The language is as the court noted, plain and unambiguous leaving little to no confusion as to its intent.  

36 states however, refused to establish an exchange thereby requiring the Federal government to step in and create a Federal Exchange.  As a result, 4.7 million Americans who enrolled through the Federal exchange and who have been receiving subsidies due to an IRS ruling which turned the plain language of the statute on its head, may down the road lose this assistance.  This loss is estimated to  increase the cost of their coverage by a factor times four or greater and would gut "ObamaCare" to the bone. 

HE WORKS HARD FOR THE MONEY

On Thursday July 17, 2014. Israel began a land, sea and air incursion into the Gaza Strip, in order to neutralize Hamas, one of the most pestilent Islamic terror groups on earth.  On that same day Pro Russian separatists, most probably working with or under the command of Russian Federation Spetsnaz forces in the rebel Donets region of the Ukraine, used a very sophisticated ground to air missile system to shoot down a  Malaysian Air 777 passenger jet  killing all 298 on board.  This included 80 children, 3 infants and at least one American citizen.

 
While all of this was unfolding, Barack Obama went to two fund raisers in Manhattan.  Six days later as the fighting in Gaza intensified and the bodies of the dead from MH-17 were put into body bags , he jetted out to the west coast for six more.
 
This was not the first time he has shown such bizarre detachment.  He did exactly the same thing the day after Benghazi,  when the Russians invaded the Crimea,  and most recently in Texas at the peak of the crisis of the "Border Children.  He steadfastly refused to visit the southern border or any of the detention camps where the children were being warehoused.
 
Having to face the predictable outcomes of his awful domestic and foreign policies is not Obamas strong suit.  His vision of being President is  first and foremost being adored by either mega-rich celebrities in Hollywood where he is the star and they are relegated to supporting roles or  Texas oil men or bankers, hedge fund moguls and financial titans from Wall Street  or billionaire "geeks" from Silicone Valley... and the list goes on. 
 
These are the comforts zones for the strangest man ever to be President.  These venues appeal to him even more than the golf course or extravagant vacations which have now cost the taxpayers over $44 million.

ABORTION AND OTHER "SACRAMENTS"

Abortion has become a secular sacrament for the secular left. 

The response by so called "feminists" and Democratic female politicians to the "Hobby Lobby" decision would have you believe that Sharia law  has just been instituted in the United States.  The irony in this is that normally these same actors are silent about the real evils of Sharia inflicted on women in Islamic countries.  They explain this by not wanting to be" Islamophobic" and so it goes in the "progressive asylum" that America has become.

We have heard from Hillary and NOW and Sandra Fluke and Elizabeth Warren and Debbie Wasserman- Schultz and of course  Nancy Pelosi, who just the day before told us that border states and Mexico are just one big community with a river running through it.  "San Fran Nan" also seems unfazed by a Cardinal's call to deny her communion.  I supposed she sees it as just another way to lose weight.

Hillary's denouncement is also ironic since the decision was based on the regulatory requirement to provide birth control  being a violation of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which was signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1993.  Put more succinctly this was not an "ObamaCare" statutory requirement ...it was an Obama personal requirement.

The always foaming at the mouth Dems see the Burwell v Hobby Lobby decision handed down on June 30th as a new opportunity to whip up the base in order to avoid disaster at the polls in November.  The very idea that people who own the majority share of for profit companies might have genuinely held religious beliefs seems quite beyond their ken.

NO TAXATION WITHOUT A REAL INVESTIGATION

The IRS is a government agency on life support!  As many have said before me, it is and has been the most hated and feared agency in the history of the US.  Now it is also the most distrusted and despised.

Being hated as a part of a bureaucracy is not a fatal flaw but being mistrusted in a democracy is.  The American people will not for long countenance the scandal that is turning into a demand for a criminal investigation.  This IRS scandal is far more serious than the one that faced the Nixon Presidency where the "plumbers" and the President merely "endeavored" to use  the agency to attack their enemies. 

In the present situation, the feeling is mounting that crimes have been committed, a Special Prosecutor should be appointed and people should go to jail.

Lois Lerner has a history of inappropriate partisan activity and she comes across as contemptuous of both the Congress and the people who paid her salary but she and others could not have concocted and managed  this assault on the enemies of Obama, without orders from above.  Nine Democratic Senators   wanted to sic the IRS on 501 (c) (3) and 501 (c) (4) tax exempt applicants whom they believed privately were political enemies while claiming publicly they were law breakers but they would not have taken this unethical and probably illegal path without a White House which micro manages all things political...giving the OK.

REPUBLICANS

Last week I excoriated Democrats for being a party that no longer believes in the US Constitution, individual rights and the rule of law.  Today I excoriate the Republicans for being unable or unwilling to defend, protect and preserve the same.

This administration is the greatest law breaker in the history of the Republic and the President both deserves and must be impeached.  The problem is that because impeachment is a political solution to political and/or criminal "high crimes and misdemeanors" you cannot successful impeach anyone unless you have 67 votes in the Senate.  That in turn would mean that you have convinced a significant number of Senators in both parties that the  acts which warrant impeachment must be exorcised and more importantly the people want this to be done.

The Republican Party have begun to do neither.  In fact it is doubtful that they could even muster all 45 Republican votes in the Senate if they should have to vote on Articles of Impeachment.

The reasons for these are political and illustrate a timidity and cluelessness  that make the party of Lincoln, TR, Eisenhower and Reagan,  political eunuchs of historical precedent.  They are so fearful of being labled  "racists" for rightfully beginning to build a case that is self evident, to impeach the worst, most dangerous and most destructive President in our history, that they are in a state of political paralysis.  Meanwhile the country and the people suffer.

In the life of a democratic republic, political parties are born out of necessity and die or wither because of the lack of it.  But when democracy dies it usually is because the dominant party has become a cancer.

A dying democracy is where we find the United States today and the Democratic Party has become that cancer.

I don't know any longer, if it is even possible  for Democrats to feel shame about what their leaders say and do and in turn what they celebrate, support or simply tolerate from those same leaders.

I also don't know if Democrats can be separated, even for a brief time, from their collective smug and arrogant cynicism in order for them to adopt, display and embrace a sense of  honor. as it has been understood throughout the annals of Western Civilization.

I for one,  am done with trying to have an honest and candid debate or discussion with those who are prepared to defend this President regardless of evidence, now mountainous, as to his incompetence, his disingenuousness, his derision toward shared traditional values as well as common sense.

The leadership of this "woebegone" party has no collective or individual  conscience and because of this it's rank and file are rapidly losing theirs.

IN THE CROSS HAIRS OF HISTORY

"Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim,"

With these words Robert Bergdahl gave the Islamic victory blessing in the White House  Rose Garden while the President looked on smiling.  This moment had been a long time coming as Hillary Clinton after first applauding this prisoner exchange and who now voices her reservation due to the uproar, has to live with the disclosure that direct negotiations were conducted with the Taliban while she was Secretary of State.

This President is also rumored to have had secret and indirect negotiations with Hamas prior to their new alliance with Fatah and with Iran prior to the Russian involvement in the Iranian nuclear program.

In short through word and deed this President and his subordinates have kowtowed to the worst elements of political, terrorist Salafist Islam.  They continue to do it even as everything  now blows up in their face.  They have placed both serving military personnel and American civilians abroad in mortal danger.

This time  he may well have crossed the "Mendoza line" on the road to impeachment.  In releasing the worst of the worst of the Taliban and then lying about the conditions of the release, Obama has violated his oath of office to protect the nation and violated the law by not informing Congress 30 days in advance of his attention to do this as well as giving "aid and comfort" to an acknowledged terrorist enemy.

Many believe that he was seeking something dramatic to take the unfolding and endless scandal of the VA off the front pages.  Others believe that this exchange would be applauded in the same way the killing of Bin Laden was celebrated.  And still others felt that this was so dramatic that it would neuter the predictably negative reaction to the job and economy killing regulations that the radical out of control EPA has just proposed.

Everything this Imperial President does is political.  He has established an administrative state which has neutered our Constitutional Republic.  He operates for himself and his increasingly self evident agenda of making the United States irrelevant in the affairs of the world.  He believes that the US is and has been the problem globally for a long, long time.  He hates all capitalism save  the crony  capitalism which bankrolls his grand design and hence does all he can to make sure the country never recovers from the doldrums that he, after five and a half years in office, has in large part caused.

THE HEDGEROWS

June 6th turned into June 7th as the survivors of the initial landings began to leave the beach heads and move inland.  In their wake came thousands of more allied troops discharging from their landing crafts in shoulder high water to avoid booby traps and mines close to the five landing zones.  Operation Overlord was one day old.

Once up and over the bluffs that overlooked the beaches, the men found themselves confronting miles of hedgerows stretching from Cherbourg to Alecon and Mayenne , north to south, and from Falaise and Argentan to Avaranches, east to west.  They called this advance "Operation Cobra".

The hedgerows were ancient  from  Roman times and were called "Le Bocage" by the people of Normandy.

They consisted of earthen banks 5 to 6 feet high and 12 feet wide across the bottom.  They were anchored together by trees on their top and thick dense vegetation on their sides  whose root systems combined to make them as solid as stone walls.  They had been built to delineate land boundaries and provide natural fencing for pasture and farm land.

Taken as a whole they formed a crazy patchwork maze with sunken roads caused by the buildup of earth to form the hedges. These roads were the only means to travel through the maze by wagon or motor vehicle.  Each field rimmed by these hedgerows had one entrance and the Allies had no maps. 

COMMENCEMENT 2014

Many people ask me " Why are you so angry?"   I usually reply "Why aren't you?"  For starters I am not built to surrender.  I take my rights and responsibilities seriously.  I take my obligation seriously to try and leave my country and the world better than they were when I found it.   I cannot roll over and become a slave to those who once they have stripped me of my rights would then attempt to eradicate my humanity.  So I'm angry!

The country is in the throes of an American version of the cultural revolution.  Too many of our allegedly educated youth are all too ready, willing and eager to silence anyone who disagrees with them on whatever issue du jour  they have taken a pious and ignorant stand.

We were warned  that this day would come when the missionaries of Marx took over Academia and systematically proceeded to turn our children into witless disciples of numerous phony Messiahs.

Intolerance in the university is now the norm as witnessed by the procession of graduation speakers who have become objectionable for moronic reasons held by brainwashed bigots with caps and gowns.

If I were to be a commencement speaker (which is about as likely as playing shortstop for the Yankees after Jeter retires), I would say this to the graduates of 2014:

" The world is in terrible shape.  The country is virtually in free fall because the rule of law has been abandoned.  The Constitution ...the greatest secular document of freedom ever written is in tatters...and many of you, but not all of you are oblivious to all of the above because your education has not included an accurate history of this country, warts and all.  Instead if you got anything it was The History of the United States...warts...that's all.    

Nor were you instructed in how this country is supposed to work  so you could be the watchmen in the night when the nation veers off course.  Had you been so instructed, most of you would be on the barricades today.

INCOME INEQUALITY

Nobody capable of useful work need today lack food and shelter in the advanced countries, and for those incapable of themselves earning enough these necessities are generally provided outside the market. Poverty in the relative sense must of course continue to exist outside of any completely egalitarian society: so long as there exists inequality, somebody must be at the bottom of the scale. But the abolition of absolute poverty is not helped by the endeavor to achieve 'social justice'; in fact, in many of the countries in which absolute poverty is still an acute problem, the concern for 'social justice' has become one of the greatest obstacles in the elimination of poverty. In the West the rise of the great masses to tolerable comfort has been the effect of the general growth of wealth and has been merely slowed down by measures interfering with the market mechanism. It has been this market mechanism which has created the increase of aggregate income, which also has made it possible to provide outside the market for the support of those unable to earn enough. But the attempts to 'correct' the results of the market in the direction of 'social justice' have probably produced more injustice in the form of new privileges, obstacles to mobility and frustration of efforts than they have contributed to the alleviation of the lot of the poor.

It seems as if everyone today is  talking about income inequality.  Obama is using it as a bogus political crusade to divert our attention from Benghazi, the IRS and ObamaCare; Pope Francis is denouncing it as an ethical and moral challenge.  Bill DeBlasio ran with it as his signature issue to become Mayor of NYC.  

Thomas Piketty,a neo-Marxist French political scientist believes that income inequality is cause by capitalism.  He has written a book called  "Capital in the Twenty-First Century" which the left is having schoolgirl swoons over.  In it Piketty, says only taxation can correct this problem, so he  advocates a world wide tax of 80% for anyone making over $500,000 a year.  For those making less, levies of 40% and 60% are proposed.  This is all social justice masquerading as a path to income equality which history has shown will not work when the market mechanisms of capitalism have been thwarted by ideology. 

THE SMOKING GUNS

Benghazi has been and continues to be a scandal trifecta.  

 

There is the scandal of why the Consulate in Benghazi was not reinforced with adequate security despite a rapidly deteriorating security situation and despite repeated requests from military, diplomatic and security officials inside and outside the State Department.  Those questions have been largely answered due to the callous indifference and incompetence of the State Department and Hillary Clinton.
 

The second scandal is why there was no attempt to come to the aid of both diplomatic and CIA personnel once the attack began. 

 

The third scandal is what various elements of the US government did and said, subsequent to the attack, to explain to the American people what happened, why it happened and who was responsible. 

 

On April 30, the release to Judicial Watch, via a FOIA related Federal law suit,  of  e-mails from Ben Rhodes, White House Deputy National Security Adviser for Communications, provides proof that the story of a YouTube video as the cause of the Benghazi attack was bogus and was an attempt to give cover to the President seven weeks before the November 2012 election.
